Opportunities in Octolane represent active deals in your pipeline. Unlike traditional CRMs where you have to create deals manually, Octolane’s Deal Finder Agent detects opportunities automatically from your email, calendar, website traffic, and 250+ connected data sources.

How opportunities are created

Opportunities can enter your pipeline in several ways:
  • Automatically by the Deal Finder Agent - detected from email conversations, meeting patterns, and other signals
  • Automatically by Signal - when a qualified company visits your website and meets your criteria
  • From form submissions - captured and qualified by the Form Submission Agent
  • Manually - you can always create opportunities by hand or via AI Chat

What’s on an opportunity record

Each opportunity includes:
  • Deal name and value - auto-generated or manually set
  • Pipeline stage - where the deal currently sits
  • Associated contacts and company - linked automatically based on conversation participants
  • Activity timeline - every email, meeting, agent action, and note related to this deal
  • AI-generated summary - a plain-English overview of where the deal stands and what happened recently
  • Custom fields - any additional data you’ve configured, including AI-populated fields

Keeping opportunities current

Octolane updates opportunities in real-time as new activity happens. When an email is sent, a meeting occurs, or a website visit is detected, the opportunity record reflects it immediately. No manual updates needed.
