After every call recorded by the Meeting Recorder, Octolane generates a structured summary with action items and follow-up tasks. You get the full picture without taking a single note during the meeting.

What you get after every meeting

  • Plain-English summary - a concise recap of what was discussed, key decisions, and open questions
  • Action items - specific next steps extracted from the conversation, assigned to the right person
  • Follow-up tasks - suggested tasks based on what was discussed
  • Full transcript - a complete, speaker-labeled transcript of the meeting
  • Key moments - timestamps for important topics like pricing, objections, or commitments

Where meeting notes live

Meeting notes are attached to the relevant deal, contact, and company records. They show up in the Activity Feed with a link to the full summary and transcript.

Using meeting notes

Meeting notes feed into the rest of Octolane’s system:
  • The Follow-Up Agent uses them to draft context-aware follow-up emails
  • Custom AI Fields can extract specific data points from transcripts (e.g., “What budget did they mention?”)
  • AI Chat can answer questions about past meetings (e.g., “What did we discuss with Acme last Tuesday?”)
